The striker-fired Sig P365 is one of the most popular subcompact pistols in the United States and perhaps in the world. It is lightweight, handles naturally and is extremely easy to conceal. It also offers decent firepower and good ergonomics, even for shooters with somewhat larger hands.
Yet, in the pursuit of perfection, shooters are often on the lookout for upgrades that will improve the performance of their handguns, P365 included. It’s certainly not a bad gun, but there are things you can do to make it better, and though the P365’s barrel is not one of its weak points, there are still good reasons to upgrade it.

Potentially Improved Accuracy
To mirror the performance of factory original P365 barrels, NineX19 upgrades are made with 1:10 rifling that exhibits proven performance with the widest possible range of ammunition, from light, jacketed training rounds to heavier, +P hollow points for defensive use.
However, we take it a step further, and finish our P365 barrel upgrades with deep-cut target crowning. The crowning, which is the rifling at the very end of the muzzle, is the last portion of the barrel to contact the bullet before it leaves the gun, making it critical to accuracy.

Easier Cleaning
NineX19 P365 barrel upgrades are available in three different finishes, all of which confer a unique benefit with respect to maintenance and cleaning.
Available in black nitride, gunmetal and titanium nitride, all of these replacement barrels are not only corrosion-resistant, but exhibit higher than average permanent dry lubricity. In layman’s terms, this means that they are very “slick.”
Which means, above other things, that these replacement barrels are highly resistant to fouling and tar adherence, making them much easier to wipe clean. In fact, in most cases, with the exception of heavily fouled or tarred barrels that have been neglected, they can be cleaned with a patch without any need for bore solvent at all.
Improved Heat Dissipation
Our P365 barrels sport pentagonal flat fluting, which increases the surface area of the barrel and reduces some of the mass.
The primary benefit of the former point is that these barrels are therefore more effective at shedding heat. This helps keep them cooler even during sustained periods of relatively heavy fire.
The cooler a barrel stays during use, the more accurately the gun will fire, and the less it will wear, so a barrel that stays cool is to your benefit.
Lighter Handling
Another benefit of the pentagonal flat fluting of our P365 barrels is that the fluting slightly reduces the mass of the barrel. This won’t make a huge difference in handling, not nearly as much as would be the case with a longer, heavier rifle barrel, but it will lighten the pistol slightly, potentially improving handling.
Easier Muzzle Device Accessorization
Many P365 variants are sold without threaded barrels, and some of ours are threadless, too, so we offer that option. But these threadless barrels do not nearly offer the same degree of customization as our Match V2 threaded barrels.
The reason is that with a threaded barrel you can add a compensator, effortlessly. Though a compensator will add weight and also change the overall footprint and handling of the Sig, most shooters find that it is worth it.
This is because the simple addition of a compensator (also known as a comp) can significantly decrease felt recoil. In some cases, a compensator can reduce felt recoil by as much as 50%, without affecting shot power at all.
For a handgun as light as a Sig P365, reducing felt recoil can have big effects downstream.
Lower felt recoil results in less shooter fatigue and can enable faster, more confident, more accurate follow up shots, benefiting both novice and experienced shooters – all this, from the simple addition of a threaded P365 barrel.
