The Glock 47 Uses a Glock 17 Gen 5 Barrel

The G47 uses a G17-length Gen 5 slide and barrel, not a Glock 19-length barrel. Its grip is full-size Glock 17 length, while its dust-cover and rail area follow the shorter G45-style frame architecture. That is why the G47 is often described as a long-slide G45 configuration.
It is still important to separate the upper assembly from the frame. The G47 may share a shorter frame architecture with the G45, but its slide and barrel are G17 Gen 5 length.

Why Glock 17 Gen 5 Matters
Glock changed the G17 barrel-lug design for Gen 5 to match the Glock 19-pattern design. That is the mechanical change that makes the G17 Gen 5 Slide & Barrel system compatible with the G45/G47-style frame and locking geometry when the correct recoil-system components are used.
This does not mean every G17 part from every generation should be mixed freely. Glock 17 Gen 1–4 and Glock 17 Gen 5 components are different systems for fitment purposes. A G47 is a Gen 5-only pistol, so use Gen 5 barrels and Gen 5-compatible components.
